Alarms & Monitoring
Advanced - KryoAdmin

A powerful and secure alarm and monitoring system - KryoAdmin
Highly extensible high end alarm and monitoring system which can also work across multi-sites that can be many kilometers apart.
Data can be collected by a single system from up to 1000 sensors. Many sensor types are available – most parameters can be monitored.
Data is consolidated into a single database used for alerts, alarms and data recording. The single database is great for continuous graphs over large data sets. Warnings are given via local audible alarms, auto-dialler, e-mailed alarms and reports, and sms text messaging.
Changes are logged automatically, providing an audit-trail of user modifications to the system. Designed to be part of a FDA CFR 21 Part 11 compliant system.
Only available in North America and the UK
The Open protocol used to communicate with the sensors means that a very large choice of both Planer and third party signal conditioning units and sensors can be used - enables many different parameters to be monitored.
The system is built on robust IBM architecture - reliable and resilient to failure. Investment is protected by the use of an open protocol, MODBUS-TCP - gateways are available to connect to other equipment which means the latest sensors can be used as they become available.
Systems can be cascaded to allow 1000's of measurement points with all data consolidated; extensions above 1000 points do require a special configuration. So, just about anything for which a sensor is available can be monitored. Simple single set point alarms can be combined into 'boolean' alarms, e.g "sensor 1 must be over set point A AND sensor 2 must be over setpoint B" for an alarm to be generated. Remote access comes from any computer capable of running the client software: includes Windows, Mac and Linux PC's and netbooks.
KryoAdmin systems are mainly used in demanding medical environments such as human tissue repositories, IVF laboratories, pharmaceutical labs, stem cell and cord blood facilities. KryoAdmin is equally applicable to similar demanding applications outside the medical sector. It is especially useful where different laboratories and multiple sites are involved. Typical devices to be monitored are ultra low temperature refrigerators, liquid nitrogen storage dewars, CO2 incubators and room air quality but just about any parameter can be monitored.
